National Day of Prayer

Hey all,

I just want to say that you should hop on over to Joe's blog to read his mention of the National Day of Prayer (he also gives his item of the day while he's at it) AND, while you're there, give a vote on his poll on the right hand side. Thanks for mentioning The Friendly Necromancer in the poll, Joe!

Happy Dueling!

Housing Item of the Day--Gobbler Piñata

Hello readers!

I trust everyone has had a good time buying their new houses in the sky?

good good.

I bought one too! I opted for the Krokotopia island on this first go around. I think I bought it because it seems to be one of the least favorite models. haha. You know me . . . that's just how I swing.

So, what was to be the first item in my new house? I said, "yo, y'all want this party started right? RIGHT! You all want this party started quickly? QUICKLY!" And then I threw down some crowns and picked up a Gobbler Piñata.

I hadn't been able to showcase any crown furniture items yet, but now that we're live, it's on! This little number is all set to go into my now developing party room! WOOT!

Bring your bats (not lightning bats though grrr) and come ready for a belly full of candy!!

Merle is getting tricky

Tricky Tricky TRICKY!

So here's the deal. It appears you need to follow Merle Ambrose on twitter. If you do so, you'll be given clues to solve. At the end of the mystery, hopefully, you'll get an awesome pet.

Message 1:
I have a special pet to share with those who dare to uncode the mystery. I will pose questions to test your wizardry skills.

Message 2:
The answer to the question is a clue to the code. For example, if the answer to question #2 is "wizard", "W" is the 2nd letter of the code.

Message 3:
The questions will be be found here. The answers will be found in the game or web.

I'll try to keep track of these here, but really . . . you should hop on twitter and follow Merle for up to date news. Messages seem to be coming in about one every 12 hours . . . we're due for another clue here within the hour . . . hmmmmmmmmm.

Happy Dueling!

Housing Goes Live Tomorrow

Hi.

I'm the friendly necromancer and I approve Tipa's message.

It's all too true.

Praise the Lord and pass the doodle wallpaper.

Amen.

Happy Dueling!

Housing Item of the Day--Doodle Wallpaper

I woke up this morning to discover that the test realm had been reset sometime between yesterday and today. I'm also short on time today since my dog managed to get herself trapped in the basement with the doors closed and made a mess of things down there overnight . . . if you get my drift.

So not to forever associate this wallpaper with my dog peeing in the basement or anything . . . but . . .

IT'S THE DOODLE WALLPAPER!

I can't remember whose house I was in, but they had decorated one room in their house as a party room. Oh man, it was awesome. Possibly the best room theme I had seen yet, and he had this doodle wallpaper on the wall in the party room. Awesome. All I had this morning to decorate was my new empty dorm room, but hey! at least I can make that pretty now too.

J. Todd Coleman talks Wizard101 and Player Housing

Check out this little gem I stumbled upon today: It's a short interview with J. Todd Coleman on the "Kid Spaces" portion of the Designing Spaces show. You have to suffer through the first third of that video until you get to the Wizard101 stuff. I dig J. Todd Coleman. It was really cool talking with him in the Nelson Everhart interview. He's just a really nice guy.

Happy Dueling!

(p.s. sorry about the autoplay on that video, but I felt like I'd rather embed it here instead of just link to it . . . )
