Housing Item of the Day--Triton Statue

The Triton Statue comes from Skullsplitter on Triton Avenue. I was first turned on to this item in game by Elijah Stormheart who had farmed up his statue earlier in the day.



It's going to look nice along my ridge. In fact, I think I'll be putting all my statues right along that ridge if I can manage it. I kind of like how menacing they look from below.

At any rate, this statue is well worth the easy farming for it.

Item of the Day--Hydra Statue

Today's item of the day comes from Vika Markmaker in the Crystal grove. The Hydra Statue is a very popular item as you can see by all of Michael Firecatcher's house party guests yelling item of the day.



Kyle managed to get one (once again, he's so lucky).

So, my wife said I shouldn't post on my blog today because it's mother's day.



So there . . . that's all you get.

Housing Items of the day--Cyclops Statue, Dark Shelf, and House Prop

Well yesterday was an interesting day of farming and house decorating. We ended up farming General Akilles for an hour or so. At first it was just Tara and myself, then Michael Firecatcher came, then Elijah Stormheart came, then one of their buddies came. Sean Emeraldweaver was even there for a couple kills.

I got my Cyclops Statue during the first half hour, but Tara did not. Both of us got the Dark Shelf within the first fifteen minutes. Toward the end of the hour General Akilles also dropped a house prop for me. I do believe the house prop is very rare because, once again, it's not listed on General Akilles boss drops list. Then again, the statue may be classified as rare because Tara never ended up getting one (as far as I know).



You should have seen us developing a kill chain for tara. haha. Towards the end I would have Kyle and Thomas in a separate instances with General Akilles and get Akilles just to the point that all Tara would have to do is pop in and lay down the finishing blow. That way she was getting three chances to get the statue right in a row.

I also managed to get two blue ghosts out of the deal as well. Man that was a lot of farming. haha.

Housing Item of The Day--Bubbling Cauldron

Ok, so, this is strange. Kyle got a really cool drop from wavebringer. Well, maybe that isn't so strange since Kyle always seems to get better drops than me. What's really strange about the drop though is that it is marked as a crown item. (the item's name in this next shot is actually covering the crown item indication . . . you can actually see the circle's outline if you lookly closely at the screenshot)




So here's the facts:

1- yes, you can buy this cauldron at Eloise Merryweather in Mooshu for 530 crowns.
2- kyle doesn't have crowns on his account currently, so he couldn't have bought it when I wasn't looking, and I know I saw it drop from Wavebringer.
3- No one has listed this as a drop over at Wizard 101 Central for wavebringer yet.

So I'm thinking this drop could be catagorized under one of the following:

1- Kyle is really lucky.
2- That's a bug, bubbling cauldron shouldn't be dropping from boss mobs, or
3- That's ok, crown items drop once in a while from boss mobs if . . .
4- You're really lucky like Kyle.



mmmm, just think of the trouble kyle could stir with this. Now if this cauldron dispensed a health potion once a day, THAT would be awesome.

Housing Item of they Day--Serpent Tablet

I awoke this morning with the urge to try and bust through the plague oni instance to get to the next Item of the Day. Michael Firecatcher was up for the run this morning as well, so we gave it a go! My secret agenda of course is to get the bat pet, but I really did want this bit of awesomeness.



The Serpent Tablet sits just inside the door to the plague oni off to the right. The snake on it kind of softly pulses a golden yellow. OH SO COOL. And it happens to go great with the Krokotopia theme, so this was a natural for me.



I noticed that Wavebringer dropped a piece of furniture for kyle as well on the run. That'll have to be tomorrow's housing item of the day. I don't even know what it is since I was in such a hurry to get the instance over quickly and get off to work.
